Liz Earle Lash Care Intensifying Mascara Base is one of those products I never knew I needed, but I’m now on my second tube!  This stuff lasts forever and is now a daily step in my routine.  You apply before mascara, I do both eyes then apply mascara rather than doing one at a time if you see what I mean?!

Its an interesting one this one, it gets pretty mixed reviews on the Liz Earle website and I notice how many people started out, like me, getting this as a free gift with the old loyalty card.  It goes on white and it doesn’t sink in (not sure how a product like this would) so you apply your usual mascara over the top, almost blending them together.  For me it gives me an extra intensifying level of coverage and I wouldn’t use mascara without applying this first.  I don’t find it clumpy or sticky like some others have found, I find it just helps bond my usual mascara and hold it in place until I’m ready to remove.  I’m not sure this is a necessary every day step, although I have incorporated this into my daily routine (so maybe subconsciously I do feel it’s necessary!).

Now here is the really good bit!  For a relatively high end product this retails at only £10.50.  For that price it’s worth trying just to see how it works for you.

Loves – Easy to apply, helps my usual mascara stay in place all day

Not so Loves – I’m not convinced this is a desert island buy

Overall – I have repurchased and will probably continue to do so
