A beautiful morning at National Trust Wimpole

One of our very favourite Cambridgeshire local haunts is the National Trust Wimpole Estate https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/wimpole-estate.  There is so much to do at this local treasure, there’s the house, the gardens, the walk up to the folly, the farm, the list goes on and on.  We come here no matter the season, as it’s just stunning and there is usually something new and interesting going on.  My personal favourite is the piggery in the farm – I love those little snuffly snouts! This trip there were two sets of piglets to marvel at!

The gardens were just stunning in the sun and are currently home to a big colony of House Martins.  We also managed to get a quick game of croquet in!  And if you are a small person, there are lots of mini tractors to ride around on in the farm yard!   If you are ever near Cambridgeshire, Wimpole is well worth a visit, any time of year.
